Description
This 2-day, in-person course focuses on SF6 gas theory and practical equipment demonstrations to provide technicians with vital knowledge for optimizing SF6 gas handling practices, safety procedures, and regulations/reporting.
COURSE LOCATION AND DATES
This course will take place at the DILO Direct Portland service center from November 12-13, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. The course will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on both days. Note: This course is subject to a minimum enrollment of five (5) learners. Please do not make travel arrangements until the course is confirmed. This course will be confirmed on or before October 25, 2024.

TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own lodging and transportation to and from the training event. Note: This course is subject to a minimum enrollment of five (5) learners. Please do not make travel arrangements until the course is confirmed. This course will be confirmed on or before October 25, 2024.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
Learners must have access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet to log into DILO Academy in order to access course materials and take the course exam.
DRESS CODE & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
This course includes both theoretical and hands‐on components. Attendees are required to wear appropriate safety gear (gloves, steel toed boots, and safety glasses) during the hands‐on portions of the course. It is highly recommended that attendees bring their own safety gear; however, DILO will provide gear to those who are unable to bring their own. The dress code for this course is casual to business casual. Dressing in layers is recommended.
INDIVIDUALIZED EQUIPMENT TRAINING
Depending on class size and other factors, there may be some time during the hands-on portion of the training to focus on specific equipment or gas handling scenarios upon request. We will do our best to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee that we will have older equipment models on hand or that we will have time to address all requests. Requests will be honored on a first come, first served basis. If you would like training on a specific piece of equipment or would like to focus on a special topic/scenario, please e-mail us at sales@dilo.com.

Light morning refreshments, lunch, coffee, and drinks will be provided on each training day. Please be sure to advise us of any dietary restrictions in advance by utilizing the dietary restriction section in the course registration or by contacting us at sales@dilo.com.
AWARDING OF CEUs
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded 1.6 IACET CEUs and an SF6 Safety and Handling Certificate from DILO Company, Inc. In order to successfully complete the course, trainees must meet the following requirements:
- Attend each day of the course in its entirety
- Actively engage and participate in virtual training
- Score 70% or better on written post-course assessment

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe characteristics of SF6, including history, properties, and contaminants
- Compare and contrast virgin and reconditioned SF6 gas
- Use an emission-free approach for SF6 gas analysis
- Employ best safety practices for hands-on SF6 gas handling and safety methods
- Create and apply a zero-emissions approach to SF6 gas handling, including recovery, filling, and evacuation
- Identify current environmental standards at a local and federal level
- Discuss important DOT/transportation and certification requirements and considerations for SF6 gas cylinders
